The University of Adelaide

Adelaide's three long-established universities have been popular with international students for many years and continue to sit high on international listings. And just recently, the city's status as an education hub has been further boosted by the arrival of two of the world's best universities.

The University of Adelaide

Renowned for being Australia's third oldest university and one of the finest in the world. The University of Adelaide is small enough to provide personal interaction with elite teaching staff, but large enough to offer a broad range of programs and outstanding opportunities for research. It attracts one of the highest levels of per capita research funding in Australia, and consistently ranks among the most research-intensive universities in the Asia-Pacific.

University of South Australia

The University of South Australia (UniSA) is an innovative, outward looking university with a vibrant student community from all over the world. Flinders University

Flinders has built a strong reputation for quality and innovation in its courses and in its teaching. It was the first university in the world to have a bachelor course in nanotechnology, and the first in Australia to offer a graduate entry medical course.
Flinders staff have received a number of national awards for teaching excellence, including the Prime Minister’s Award for University Teacher of the Year in 2004 and 2006. In 2008 two members of staff became the first and only overseas recipients of a Senior Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy (UK), and in 2009 eight of our staff received ALTC Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

Carnegie Mellon University

Carnegie Mellon is Australia's first foreign university to open its doors in Adelaide. Students have the ability to live and learn in South Australia and have their qualifications recognized throughout the world. Courses include Masters of Science in Public Policy and Management, Masters of Science in Information Technology and Masters of Entertainment Technology.

The UCL School of Energy and Resources has a niche programme offering that is industry focused across three sectors:

  • Master of Science (MSc) in Energy and Resources: Policy and Practice – a two-year programme (full-time or equivalent part-time) providing a rigorous and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary theory and practice in energy and natural resource management, and the economic and legal context within which the industries operate.
